Behind the Seams in the Studio/ July Update
I hope everyone is doing well!
Summer always seems to fly by around here. Between keeping up with the garden and spending time in my sewing room, the days disappear before I know it. I thought I’d pop in with a little studio update and show you what I’ve been working on lately.
Double Charmed Wall Hanging
First up is this adorable pink and white wall hanging based on the Double Charmed pattern. I had so much fun making this little quilt, and it turned out even sweeter than I imagined.
I’m excited to say I’ll also be offering this design as a Made to Order item. My goal this year has been to slowly expand all four sections of my shop, adding more handmade choices as I go. It takes a lot more computer work than quilting some days… but it’s been a fun adventure!
I have this Wall Hanging size on Made to Order. With Plans to add more. So dont forget to check back often as Im slowly adding new oferings on made to order in all 4 sections of my store. Its been fun to branch out…. but this computer stuff is a lot of work… LOL 🙂

New Log Cabin Table Runner
I also just finished a new Log Cabin Table Runner, and I couldn’t be happier with how it came together.
Made with soft shades of blue and cream, it has a cozy cottage feel that’s perfect for a dining table, buffet, dresser, or even draped over the back of a favorite chair. It measures 39 x 19 inches and is ready to ship.
I always enjoy making Log Cabin quilts because they’re timeless and seem to fit just about any decorating style.

A Modern Star is Coming Soon
Today I started cutting fabrics for my next project—a modern star table topper.
While the pattern itself is a classic star block, I’m using bold color contrasts to give it a fresh, modern look. It’s still in the early stages, but I’m excited to watch it come together.
This One is Based Off the Ohio Star Pattern, and was created with the Triangle sections that were scraps from the Hexagon Quilt. Funny how you can create a whole new look from 1 scrap, then make another quilt and again have more scraps… rinse and repeat 🙂 sooo many scraps!

Cotton Crochet Continues
The Bella Flora Cotton Blanket is slowly but surely growing!
The larger it gets, the longer each row takes to finish. Crochet is definitely a different pace than quilting, but I’ve really been enjoying the process.
One thing I absolutely love is how beautifully 100% cotton yarn drapes. It has such a wonderful weight and softness that’s completely different from acrylic yarns, making it feel more like a beautiful textile than a typical blanket.
I’ve also been having a little fun experimenting with a patriotic red, white, and blue sweater design that was inspired by something I spotted on Pinterest. We’ll see where that project takes me!

and I am whipping up an idea I got off Pinterest/ a Red White and Blue Sweater design~ Stay tooned later for that super cute design!
New Made to Order Cotton Kitchen Sets
I’ve also been working on expanding my Made to Order Cotton Crochet collection with handmade kitchen sets in a variety of colors.
It’s exciting to see this new section of the shop continue to grow, and I have several more ideas waiting their turn.
