Hello, Fall! Come See What’s New in My Sewing Room

Full view of the 50 by 50 inch Fall Harvest Star decorative quilt in warm autumn colors.

Hello friends! Im here with 3 NEW Handmade Decor Quilts!

Well, here we are — fall is in the air, the colors are changing, and I’ve been keeping busy in my sewing room! I wanted to stop by, say hello, and share a little of what’s been happening here at Quilts By Taylor.

I’ve been working on some new decorative quilts, finishing up a special Storm at Sea quilt, and finding a few more ways to bring traditional quilt designs to life. So grab a cup of something warm, settle in for a minute, and let’s catch up!

A Finished Whimsical Storm at Sea

My Whimsical Storm at Sea quilt is all finished and has been shipped off to its new home. And let me tell you — it turned out awesome!

The Storm at Sea design has so much movement built into it, and the quilting brings all those shapes together in such a beautiful way. Seeing a quilt go from a collection of fabric pieces to a finished, stitched, and ready-to-enjoy creation is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

It’s always a little bittersweet to send a quilt off after spending so much time with it in the sewing room, but that’s what it’s all about — making something special and sending it out into the world to be enjoyed.

Hydrangea Stars

For something a little softer, meet Hydrangea Stars! Pink, lavender, and blue star blocks dance across a creamy background, framed by pretty hydrangea floral fabrics.

This 43″ x 43″ quilt is a smaller take on my 16 Stars design, inspired by the traditional Ohio Star block. I love how the floral prints and pastel stars work together. It has a sweet, garden-inspired feel that would be lovely in a nursery, a child’s room, or as a decorative accent.

Sea of Chains

Inspired by the classic Storm at Sea quilt block, Sea of Chains takes that familiar geometric movement in a fresh direction. Turquoise, aqua, and blue-green fabrics weave through crisp white shapes, with black accents adding a little drama at the center.

This 26″ x 26″ decorative quilt is all about the details, with intricate machine quilting and a special double-batting combination that adds extra dimension and texture.

Fall Harvest Star

Autumn colors have a way of making a room feel cozy, don’t they? Fall Harvest Star brings together rich rust, copper, golden yellow, brown, and cream in a striking geometric star design.

Measuring 50″ x 50″, this decorative quilt has plenty of room to show off its patchwork and detailed quilting. It also features two layers of batting for added loft and dimension — a lovely seasonal accent for your home.

A Little Fall Thank-You

Whether you’ve been following along for years or you’ve only recently found your way to Quilts By Taylor, I’m glad you’re here.

Every visit, every kind word, every look at a new quilt, and every bit of support means a lot to a small handmade business like mine. I still love choosing fabrics, working through the details, and watching a design come together under the needle. After all these years, there’s always another quilt idea waiting in the wings!

As we head into the fall season, I hope you’re finding a little time to slow down, enjoy the changing colors, and make room for the things that bring you happiness.

Thanks for stopping by and catching up with me. Have a wonderful fall, stay cozy, and keep an eye out for more quilting news!
