I just finished a new quilt that I’ve been working on, and this one feels a little special.
It has the look of a whole cloth quilt, with small patchwork squares scattered throughout for just a bit of color and personality. The real focus is the quilting — layers of flowing texture that create movement and depth across the entire surface.
If you are someone who loves simple, elegant design and beautiful texture instead of busy prints, this quilt may be one you really connect with.
Even though it’s white, it was made to be used and loved. I use high quality cotton fabrics and batting, and it has already been washed and dried so it’s soft, durable, and ready for everyday life.
Choosing the right quilt size doesn’t have to be confusing! Handmade quilts are an investment, and selecting the perfect size ensures you get both comfort and long-term value. Here’s a simple guide to help you decide.
5 Key Takeaways Made To Order Quilts:
1. King Size Quilts (105 x 115 in) ✔ Ideal for full bed coverage ✔ Heirloom-quality, durable, and luxurious ✔ Perfect for those who want a statement piece
2. Queen Size Quilts (95 x 98 in) ✔ Fits most standard beds ✔ Same premium materials and craftsmanship as King size ✔ Great for everyday use with a slightly smaller footprint
3. Lap Size Quilts (50 x 50 in) ✔ Affordable and accessible way to enjoy handmade quilting ✔ Lightweight with a single batting layer ✔ Perfect for chairs, couches, reading nooks, or gift giving
4. Experience First, Upgrade Later ✔ Many customers start with a Lap quilt to test the quality ✔ Often return for King or Queen size once they experience the craftsmanship
5. Every Quilt Is Built to Last ✔ All sizes use high-quality cotton fabrics and careful quilting ✔ Invest once, enjoy for years — sustainable and eco-friendly
Quick Tips:
Think about where you’ll use the quilt: bed, chair, lap, or decorative layering
Consider your budget — Lap size is a perfect entry point
Remember, some intricate patterns cannot be made smaller

Its coming along Beautifully! This one is Double Batted, which makes it really special. It has great Light ans Shadow to it. Im still not sure what to do around the flower part, Its too much fun doing the petals. 🙂
I just love the way the squares are staying puffy, and yet framed up nice with the ribbon candy design. I never like ribbon candy as a kid, never understood why anyone liked it. ~~~ But I love it as a quilting design !
Center Is all Quilted Up! On to The Borders!
I still have no idea the final vision, but I’m going to start with scallops around the flower center and go from there. I think it needs to be something simple and flowing. So I may draw on it with chalk a couple times before I commit to anything… LOL
