This is turning out to be a fun pattern. Once you earn how and where to place the colors.
that’s a skill that is sometimes learned as you go. ( after I made a bunch of units with the white not in the right spot) ha! But Im going with more of a vintage feel to this one. I’ve always loved quilts that look like they have had a history.
I had added a dark tan color but then decided it was too dark, so I’m transferring it out. That’s the fun of making quilts, you can decide things as you go sometimes based on what you see.

So I struggle with all the extra scraps and cuts when making so many quilts.
Its a serious job to keep up on them! Its easier to use them if you can, when time allows~~ but there are too many, eventually you have to do something with them!
I like making the table runners, but I don’t have enough tables! LOL
So my new project is to make these very simple ( no pockets or zippers) quilted bags.
I find it relaxing to do simple projects~~~ and who doesn’t need another bag!
anyway~~~ in between orders I try to make good use of my time, these have been fun to play around with 🙂
I plan on taking them into my Salon for great Christmas gifts!

Custom Order ~ Migrating Geese, super fun quilt! Just getting started!
I finally got this collections of blocks put together as a whole. The story behind this one is 3 years long. I thought it would be a good idea to teach myself this star block by making 1 in every size. Well when I was done I wasn’t sure how to get them to all fit together, so I sorta lost steam, and set it aside. for 3 years. 🙂 Whos idea was it to make one in every size?? LOL

So I have several of these beautiful Flower panels. They are put out by Robert Kauffman, and they are yummie!
I made these 20 practice blocks ,
then had the idea to put them around this flower panel.
Super bright and fun! and I mean BRIGHT!!! ha!
Its ready for the custom quilting~~ should measure out to be square, and 90 X 90 ish~~? depends on the shrinking after quilting and washing~
will be up for sale in the near future 🙂

So this week, I have finished this beauty. Hexagons with greens and reds~
This pattern comes together nice at the end. So many when they first see the blocks thinks is ” busy” or “wild”
but one of the things I love about quilting is to see and know the beauty before the finishing.
This is my 2nd time making this one, and it is just as beautiful as the first. The echo quilting I have on this one makes it a very unique textile, and will be around for many years into the future.
I cant wait to see it in its forever home.

Newly finished This week~ Storm At Sea~
This one is a nice illusion. Even though it has no curved lines, it appears to have a curve.
I loved making this one for that reason. Being done with 2 colors keeps it simple. any more than 2 colors with this pattern it does get busy.
Its been a pattern Ive done about 3 times now, and this one is my favorite.
Next week or so I will be starting the quilting on my Lone star… getting excited for that one too 🙂

So this one washed up beautiful!
Its ready to be a beautiful splash of art for any room in your house!
It is a digital Print, made ny Kaufman Fabrics. I have added some custom patchwork around it, and
gave it some beautiful custom quilting to it. The detail really pops once its Quilted.
This is also made with a high lift batting, which gives it some great loft.
Makes it a great conversation starter for sure 🙂

This one is more of an Art Project. The beauty of it is no 2 squares are the same.
All different in color, and size. Its tricky to put together, custom making pieces to get them to come together without showing where the seams are at . Im not even sure how they go together, Its called winging it. 🙂

This is a version of my Lemoyne star quilt. Difference with this one is the sashings in between
with cornerstone accents make it a whole new look for the Lemoyne Star

Also on the design board this month, is another version of Geese on The Edge.
Ive used a simular Ombre Blue fabric, but this time with solid black.
Instead of the gray.
Its nice to see the 2 color ways, both are fun!
Black gives it more of a modern feel.
Im wanting to do one with multi colored and off white.
I think that would be sharp too.
