Inspired by my love for working with smaller pieces, Im choosing a quilt pattern.
I often explore amazing magazines and books for inspiration. And by New to me, I mean a new one to the site, so it can be a new one to YOU! LOL ~~~
Sooo… I’m on the hunt for a pattern from the War Era— style and color ~
something both fun and beautiful. Quilts from that time were often made up of hundreds, sometimes thousands, of pieces. Classic patchwork from that era was remarkable; nothing went to waste.
Back then, everything was made from REAL natural fibers, adding to their charm and durability. Now days we struggle to find anything 100% Cotton.

Color Chip Handmade Quilt, Is Finished and Ready to Ship!
This custom quilted Color Chips Quilt / Quilt for Sale/ Its going to shine in whatever room it goes in. I finished it months ago. I was sad that a couple small areas had a small color issue. Anytime you do bright colors with white you take that chance. It measures 80 X 96.
But Its too beautiful , and it hardly shows. I decide it would be a shame not to list it.
I have it slightly discounted from what I would have charged, as it really is hardly noticeable.

Slight Color Fasting
You can see here its just around the edges of 1 particular blue. And I almost think that will fade, as it is Double Batted so It may rinse out more and more. But Either way its still a beauty meant to be around for a long time 🙂

So, It was a long summer! I had 9 dental appointments over 3 months. And then I had the roof replaced. Which was a great thing, but there was some after issues that came up. It was all very stressful. Between those 2 things I took several months to just heal and deal with things.. So I didn’t post for several months, and guess what google does when you go inactive? They put you in the Dust Bin of History!

So I am working hard to get back on page 1. For now It looks like Im still on the bottom of page 2! Yikes. Just when you think its ok to take a break, Artificial Search Engines come in and changes they way everything works. The A I search is something else. Everyone is scrambling to re rank, and not get thrown in the dust bin. whew…. But Im back and look for improvements on my site. Getting everything phone friendly is quite the task. Anyhoo…. thats what Ive been doing. and I will be getting back on track soon!

I’m having Tech issues, sorry if any of these are duplicates, I’m trying to get my subscriber lists organized. Some How the list got split, and was only sending out to 1/3 of my subscribers. Super Sharp, Classic Quilt/ Hunters Star Quilts
I like showing the difference between Multi Colored, and 1 color. There is also a way to do it where all you see are the stars/ without a background of colors. But the variety of 1 color is by far the most popular. I love the pattern because Its good for my OCD. very satisfying when you get those sharp points. ( every quilters goal) 🙂
Color Crush Quilts/ Trip Around The World/ Handmade Quilts
These Color Crush Quilt is one of my very favorites. In particular the Orange Crush. I hand dyed all the oranges in it. Not 1 store bough Orange in it. Who knew there were so many variety’s of orange. Just yummie! The Blue Crush is a softer and a bit smaller in scale, and more of a ” floating ” block set up. Each one is always very different. The Trip Around the World Quilt is a Classic Handmade Quilt. Done in ascending order and creating lots of effects depending on where you put the focus color. My Blue and purple one here I did from light to dark. Then when the lightest and darkest color meet it creates a ” focus color”. But I have seen them where you can put a color in there that doesn’t ” blend” and has a whole different look.
Crazy SquaresDouble Charmed Quilt
Double Charmed Quilt. and Crazy Squares / Quilts For Sale
This Double Charmed Quilt is double batted and custom quilted. I had done a brighter color version of Double Charmed/ handmade quilt., but wanted to see the pattern in softer colors. Its a whole different quilt. Softer on the eyes and more focus on the little chain blocks, rather than the stars. I just love that a few changes to color ways can make it a whole new quilt!
And of course The Crazy Squares Quilt/ I have done this one in many ways, with many different borders. It can be bold and bright, or low key even mono chromatic is beautiful. made with 2.5 inch squares, and can be quilted in many different ways. Crazy Squares Quilt is more about texture and feel than it is on pattern. When seen in a room, on a bed its a classic patchwork that will be a favorite I have 4 listings. to show some of the differences but they all 4 are based on the same concept..
