The Fun (and Challenge) of Making This Quilt

I have to say — this is one of those quilts that’s just fun to make. It’s not necessarily an easy one, there are lots of tools and rulers used in making the precsion happen on this beauty. but it’s always worth it in the end. The sharp star points and crisp block designs come from a lot of careful trimming and using specialty rulers. Honestly, there’s a bit of precision work involved, and it’s definitely a labor of love!

But oh, when it’s done — it’s spectacular. The way the contrasting colors pop and the pattern seems to almost shift and move across the quilt top is one of my favorite things about this design. I’ve made this quilt in bold jewel tones, soft pastels, and even moody dark blues — and every single one has been stunning in its own way.
