So as I move along this quilt,
it takes on a richer texture.
A nice weight and drape.
Ok, Im a loving that I got this one under the needle today.
Not all quilts need to be custom quilted,
some patterns it doesnt even show.
But for one like this, with this pattern, and
all the white I made sure it had, Im free to
roll out some thread. <3
Not sure what I will do on the rest of it yet,
sometimes its best to do one thing at a time
then decide once you get there.
LOL ok maybe thats just me
I dont drive like that.. thankfully. Ha!
Peace and Love~
Sew ya later~

I made the decision on how im going with this block.
The colors choosen here are to match a piece
of art work in the room already. It has all these beautiful shades in it also. 🙂
Its very versatile quilt block, and could be done in a zillions of way,
with a variety of different colors. An Ombree version
would be very cool!! Starting with all one color, but 6 different shades
of that same color from light to dark… hmmmm
anyhoo… here we go, almost ready to sew into diagonal rows 🙂
I tried some other blocks with pastel colors and a more “orderly”
layout, its cute too, but Im not sure what will become of those yet…
SOOOO many options!

And now Im started, Finally! It took me a while to decide
which way to do this one, but then I decided to start with the
classic feather design. Its always so much fun!
I put some patchwork around the edges,
to give it more of a frame for a wall hanging.
I have several of these in other colors,
so for the 1st one, of many other ideas I have for this print.
The detail sorta jumps out once you start quilting it.
So, I have this one all quilted up and

Ok Update 11/15
I have a lot of blocks made up now 🙂 Im working towards King Size, Im almost there
I still have more to make, but the finish line on making the blocks is near 🙂 Then
Here is my work space, Im lucky I can leave it all out so when I have short times I can sit down and start working right away. But this is 1 of 3 work spaces I have set up. I have at one time been working on 6 quilts at once. I look back at that and think I dont know how I did it! Im always working on more than one. I love multi tasking 🙂
so this week Im going to start making the 4 blocks. mixing and matching in sets of 4. Its a lot to lay out this many loose blocks for pics, so once I get those assembled I can really see what we have 🙂 Be back soon~
Ok Well its one huge piece now! I cant really get it all in one picture!
Its going to be Beautiful!!
Tonight I started the process for dying some more fabric for the border.
We are keeping the border simple and in a dark shade of blue.
Coming up net week the final assembly of the borders and the 3 layers 🙂
then onto the quilting!
Woot woot! The quilting is going in like a dream!
it has a great texture and feel to it now 🙂
Im about 1/2 way through this part, Then onto a binding to finish it off. 🙂
Another Quilt Finished! This one was really fun for me, I didn’t know I was going to make it,
I didn’t know how it would turn out,
and wa lah!! sometimes that’s the best plan
The quilting style I’ve seen called:
Drops on the Pond, Drops on the water,
I really love the
texture it gave it, in the light you see the highs
and low shadows Luv IT 🙂
I will have it up for sale before Christmas,
Drops on the Water, Custom Quilting
This Quilt is a generous Lap/Full/Twin size Quilt.
I make most of my patterns in a smaller version to show
examples for the larger Made To Order Quilts.
This one I’m trying a new all over quilting design for me,
I’ve seen it called “drops on the water” and that’s what it looks like. 🙂
Its beautiful. I can see doing my next few quilts with this motif just because I love it that much 🙂
This is the quilt I made with the spare and left over cuts from the
Primary Star Quilt I made this month.
It should be up for sale soon, its super cute
“happy” quilt. Would look amazing
in a childs room, The spiral
quilting is a wonderful texture
I will update this post as I finish it up 🙂
Beautiful Black and Gold Quilt~
This Quilt was made for a family member, she challenged me to do it, 🙂 Well, actually she sent me the Book, the Ruler, and the fabrics too. So I took the hint. and I did it. I never thought about listing it on a made to order till now, It was several years ago and it is a challenging pattern, but It turned out amazing. The fabrics were what made this one so cool. They were very high end Cottons, with that shimmer to them. Beautiful~
I’m willing to make this pattern again, They wouldnt have to be in these shades of colors, could be scrappy multi colored ( always my favorite) Or in modern Black and white, lots of ways to go with this color way.
** some of the pictures are from before finishing, and during construction **

So here’s a quick list of the things I have been asked over the last 5 years of selling my Quilts online.
in case you’re wondering ~~” How does this work”?
feel free to contact me before hand to discuss size and colors.~~~
Heres The BASICS: ~~~~~~~~~~~
After you make your purchase, I will start with pictures of fabrics, and color choices and your style in mind, we will start to build the collection based on your colors, and fabrics for your Quilt. After we have decided on fabrics and colors and size I can get started on making your Quilt. Nothing happens over night with quilts, and there are always choices and different options that may or may not come up along the way. I am good about discussing your options , showing in pictures if I can. and to let you see the process of Making your Quilt. It’s always fun to share the fun 🙂
I always use 100% Cotton Fabrics, New, Quality Fabrics, and all is pre washed before making your Quilt.I Free Motion Machine Quilt and Machine Bind your quilt,I use 100% Warm and Natural Cotton Backing ( if you’re wanting a different type it can be done, please message me first)
!00% Whole cloth Cotton Backing Fabric. ( in off white, white or hand dyed to match)
The patterns I offer here all have ways of customizing them in Color and Size. But Changing pattern doesnt really work. New Pattern Ideas are always welcome. If you have a picture of something you have in mind, I may be willing to Do it ( if I feel I can) ~ we can discuss and set up a Private Listing.
I pre wash all my fabrics before I make your Quilt, and after I make your Quilt.
My Quilts are made to be used and love in real life. Machine Wash ( in Large washer) with cool water, Mild Soap.
Tumble dry on med heat. Because I will have washed it already for the first time, It wont be scary for you to wash it.
Never Dry Clean your quilt.
Turn Around Time
My Turn around time also varies. I will start after we have somewhat decide on fabrics and sizing and colors. But it can Vary on a lot of things. Hand Dyed Items always take longer. I do my quilts in the order they come in, so I basically say 10 to 12 weeks to be safe. Often it is sooner than that 🙂
HOW to Gauge the SIZING for your needs<– important
Step one is to measure how many inches you’re wanting to hang off the edge of your size bed, ~it’s not about the surface measures of your bed, It’s about: how much you want to drape on the side of your bed? to find that, Add the standard surface Length/width measure, to the inches you want to hang off the edge.
Example: On A Queen size bed, the length is 80 inches. You want 10 inches to hang over, *for both sides*, so you add the 20 inches of drape, to the 80 inches surface measure / and you have a measure of 100 inches~ that falls into King Size.
In inches here’ s my measures with the approx. drape added in:
Lap Size~~~~~ approx ~~75 X~85
Over Queen~~~~ up to 96 inches
King~~~~~~` up to 105 inches
I make my quilts by measuring inches, not by a standard “names”~ Please know what you want by taking the time to get those measures from your bed, before ordering. Or message me and I can help you figure out if your unsure 🙂
Noteworthy on ALL my quilts, is if you know your measures, is my sizes are all AFTER washing. I pre wash all your fabrics before I make the quilt, And I will have washed and dried your quilt , That means, You will have no shrinkage after you wash it, and My Lap Sizing is generous.
Sorta like buying pre shrunk Levis, back in the day~ This is my best guarantee that you get the “measure” you have ordered. Size names really mean nothing to me. first thing I will ask is, “whats your measure” haha ~ just sayin 🙂
so for “lap size Quilt” they are on the larger side of most of what I see online.
I would suggest ordering 1 size up from your bed. Especially if your used to buying store-bought bedding/ “bed in a bag”
Its my experience that you can and will lose 5 to 10 inches in shrinkage on any given quilt. So I choose: to use more fabric, and pre shrink it first. Then it will be the right size. That is ~some ~of what is built into my pricing.
I do the Free Style Machine Quilting
I am a free form, Free Motion Quilter. all that means is Im free style, it’s not computerized. Im more Organic. I use a long arm machine to do all the finishing myself. I use Quality Thread and can and will quilt it in several designs or motifs we may decide on.
My Basic Stippling, Meandering stitch gives great texture, and with Med Density, so its quilted more than most quilts I see online. It is truly what I feel is the best part and is more of why my price structure here is what it is. To pay someone to quilt these big quilts starting rate 400.00 and up. Custom Quilting Prices starting MUCH higher than that. And just for the quilting/finishing.
I don’t need to pay for someone to do that. I do it all myself from start to finish . And I pride myself in quality professional level work. Please refer to any of my links to see close-ups of my quilting. 🙂
100% Cotton Fabric In a neutral, or coordinating color.
I make Beautiful Keepsake Quilts with quality fabrics and notions, Quilts that are meant to be used and loved in a~ real life way. Do they last forever? They can as long as cared for properly. You should never Dry clean one of my quilts. That process is not good for the thread. Do people love them even more the longer they have them? YES> Quilts are one of those things that people have everyday in their lives for a long time. And they cherish and edear as time goes by. My Quilts are machine washable (in a big enough washer), cool water mild soap. Tumbled Dry on med. to low heat. Simple care instructions can make your quilt be around for your next generations.
Anyhoo, thats a bit about how my process works.
I am happy to answer any questions, or clear any confusion I may have caused>< 🙂
