Started the quilting, on
The pictures aren’t doing it justice!
I have the center completed,
and now stirring ideas about
doing the borders.
I had a special request last week,
so Im making a Crib
size quilt. I dont usually get to make little
ones like this, I stay busy
making larger sizes . So its sorta
fun to use my new design wall,
which you absolutely need with this pattern.
Super fun one ! 🙂
I got 2 of 3 borders on, sooo cute!!
Im off and started!
My Hand Dyed Log Cabin quilt

I have a lot of blocks made up now 🙂 Im working towards King Size, Im almost there
I still have more to make, but the finish line on making the blocks is near 🙂 Then
Here is my work space, Im lucky I can leave it all out so when I have short times I can sit down and start working right away. But this is 1 of 3 work spaces I have set up. I have at one time been working on 6 quilts at once. I look back at that and think I dont know how I did it! Im always working on more than one. I love multi tasking 🙂
so this week Im going to start making the 4 blocks. mixing and matching in sets of 4. Its a lot to lay out this many loose blocks for pics, so once I get those assembled I can really see what we have 🙂 Be back soon~
Ok Well its one huge piece now! I cant really get it all in one picture!
Its going to be Beautiful!!
Tonight I started the process for dying some more fabric for the border.
We are keeping the border simple and in a dark shade of blue.
Coming up net week the final assembly of the borders and the 3 layers 🙂
then onto the quilting!
Woot woot! The quilting is going in like a dream!
it has a great texture and feel to it now 🙂
Im about 1/2 way through this part, Then onto a binding to finish it off. 🙂
I’m SOOO excited this one is finally finished!!In between other projects, and fall yard cleanup I finally got it to the finish line!
When its all said and done you look at~~ it and realize it was all worth it!
I guess there is somewhere there are twin babies
1 boy and one girl that could share this quilt~ ha! Blue~ Pink~ have both. :0)

ones is hand dyed burnt orange, to go with the Orange Crush Quilt I made for her last year it looks like this :
and also geometric one just for fun weeeeee! Changing threads for this type of Custom Quilting can be tricky, I try to work more than 1 Case at a time. Threading and re threading a big machine many times over~~ I’ve timed myself ( under 35 seconds) , Im not saying I would break world records on threading that big boy, but I could hold my own in a race~… LOL seriously thats what makes these Pillow Cover so amazing is the color in the thread, which doesn’t always show in pics. Any hooo Sew Ya Later~ <3
Ok , So I’m off and running! so much to learn! But I have some basics up. Whew~~ I need a nap!
I have this site up and working, it just might not make sense. The clicks don’t exactly go where they should, but they are all there. If you have any questions about an Order For a Handmade Quilt, I’m here, Im starting to make blog post of all my quilts, so you can “eventually” see the making of each design, I have all the photos, I just have to get them all on here. I guess I thought after 3 weeks, I would have more understanding of web settings, but I so appreciate the sites that are user friendly… Im trying to get my site closer to that, but it all takes time. 🙂
I do Have my full Etsy store, I have been on their site about 5 years and its all set up there too.
Its my plan to use this site as a way to show the different things that can be done, and custom choices that can be made, but aren’t easy to do on Etsy.
Custom Quilting is hard to ” list” each quilt is so different and some just simply a lot more work than others. I will be posting 2 to 3 times a week in here, with most progress photos of whatever Im working on. So if you like to see the “making” of these quits drop your email in my blog list and it will send you updates directly to your email.
Thank you so much for looking, and Bare with me as I build up a lifetime of beautiful quilts on here so everyone can see them 🙂
